CDS Consulting Co-op Library

We have a treasure trove of resources already on hand in the CDS Consulting Co-op Library. The short videos from the Co-op Cafe series have become an amazing library of thought-provoking content.  Consider using them to stimulate a conversation at one of your upcoming meetings!  Choose presentations from any of the following years and themes:

  • 2018 - Expand the Vision of "We"
  • 2017 - Co-op Impact! Co-op Participation!
  • 2016 - Courageous Leadership
  • 2015 - Thriving in the New Competitive Landscape

There is even more great material in the CDS CC Library.  The Co-op Cafe videos have been viewed more than 15,000 times!  Co-ops that participate in CBLD help support the development of many of these resources - thank you on behalf of the thousands of cooperators over the years.

New resources are contributed regularly to the CDS CC Library by our consultants to deliver value to the food co-op sector and assist board leaders and managers with their role. The library is one of the top resources available in the food co-op sector for understanding all of the particulars of good governance, building a successful board-general manger relationship, and easily creating systems from organizational templates. From agenda planning to policy templates, you can find it all in the CDS Consulting Co-op Library.

Here’s what you’ll find in the library:

  • Sample policies, bylaws and training materials
  • Online recorded workshops
  • Field guides for governance
  • General manager report support and compensation database
  • Videos of co-op leaders
  • Monthly e-newsletter, Connections, which includes announcements of new resources in the library.

“ The library is an incredibly valuable resource that I have turned to on multiple occasions to help me learn more and perform better. ”

Dorian Gregory, Board Chair, River Valley Market, Northampton, Mass.

“ I cannot imagine where the food co-op sector would be today without the trail-blazing CDS Consulting Co-op has done in cooperative governance. They have created a truly cooperative way forward for boards to lead in a transparent, dynamic way that both protects the health of the business and encourages community democracy. ”

Jacqueline Hannah, General Manager, Common Ground Food Co-op, Urbana, Ill.
